2010 Early-Career Investigator Grants
The Early-Career Research Grants (formerly, New Investigator Research Grants) recognize new investigators, defined as individuals who have received a doctorate within the past five years and who currently hold full-time, entry-level positions (e.g., post-doctoral fellow, instructor, assistant professor) at an established academic/research institution. Applicants may request up to $25,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Member of The Obesity Society (domestic and international)
- Junior investigator (less than 5 years post terminal degree) or postdoctoral research fellow with no previous major research funds
- Potential to generate future funding
- Applications from postdoctoral research fellows must have an active mentor who is a member of The Obesity Society
How to Apply:
- Prepare a one-page letter of intent cover page (MS Word) downloadable from the link below
- Describe the scientific project, including AIMS and hypotheses, on a maximum of 1 page on Institutional letterhead, 1 inch margins, font-size no smaller than 11 point font
- Prepare an NIH style Biosketch of the principal investigator only (MS Word) downloadable from the link below -
