CORE

The Centers for Obesity Research and Education (CORE) is an educational arm of The Obesity Society. CORE’s mission is to educate clinicians in weight management, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to improve their effectiveness in treating overweight and obese patients.

CORE brings together nationally recognized experts from leading obesity research and treatment centers around the country to provide a comprehensive approach to obesity treatment and prevention.

CORE Workshop at Obesity 2011

Designed for clinicians and dieticians working in primary care settings, this one-day CME course is presented by national experts from leading obesity research and treatment centers. It's the "Who's Who" of obesity management and you will actively participate with them in developing a comprehensive approach to personalized treatment planning for your overweight and obese patients.

The Centers for Obesity Research and Education (CORE), an educational arm of The Obesity Society, will host a one-day, pre-conference CME course on Saturday, October 1, 2011, to educate clinicians and allied health professionals in weight management.

The program will include didactic sessions from national leaders in obesity treatment covering practical topics in clinical obesity management from counseling strategies that promote behavior change to the peri-operative management of bariatric surgical patients. Small groups in a "meet-the-professor" format will allow attendees to interact directly with experts and thought leaders in obesity treatment. We hope you will join us for this exciting Annual Meeting companion program.
