Mechanisms by Which Weight Loss Therapies Improve the Health of Patients

Many clinicians are unclear as to the metabolic health benefits of weight loss therapies. This workshop, presented by key opinion leaders in obesity medicine, will help you better understand the mechanisms by which weight loss therapies may improve the health of patients via scientific presentations. Faculty includes:

Michael Jensen, MD, Professor of Medicine, specializing in Endocrinology at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, who will explore, "How Does Adipocyte and Adipose Tissue Pathology Contribute to Ill-Health?"

Samuel Klein, MD, William H. Danforth Professor of Medicine and Nutritional Science, Washington University School of Medicine, who will discuss, "How Does Weight Reduction in Overweight Patients Improve Adipocyte and Adipose Tissue Dysfunction and Diabetes Mellitus?"

Lewis Landsberg, MD, Director Northwestern Comprehensive Center on Obesity (NCCO) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, who will talk on, "How Does Weight Reduction in Overweight Patients Improve Adipocyte and Adipose Tissue Dysfunction and High Blood Pressure?"
