Assistant/Associate Professors

Arkansas Children's Nutrition Center, Little Rock, AR

(posted 12/12/07)

The Arkansas Children's Nutrition Center (ACNC) is one of six USDA/ARS National Human Nutrition Research Centers and is partnered with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Research Institute (ACHRI) in Little Rock, AR. ACNC investigators are either UAMS professors or federal (USDA) employees. There is an existing team of experience-diverse investigators consisting of 22 PhD/MD faculty members with multiple funding sources (NIH, ACNC, ACHRI, UAMS, and Private).

Tenured Full or Associate Professors — Seeking established investigators with demonstrated publication and grant award records in human nutrition, body composition, and obesity.

Assistant Professors — Seeking junior investigators working in developmental nutrition (clinical, basic, translational).

Competitive salaries and start-up packages, new office/research space, a fully-staffed Clinical Research Center (6 bed live-in, 32 pt/d outpatient, recruiting team, Brain Lab, and Nutrition Assessment/Body Composition Lab), state-of-the-art equipment, solid long-term funding, and a growing, well-funded research program make this an outstanding opportunity for experienced or junior investigators. ACHRI also has state-of-the-art molecular laboratories and animal facilities (rodents, pigs, calves, sheep) for investigators with multiple levels of research.

Please send NIH-style bio-sketch and one page description of research interests and experience to:
