Position AvailableAssistant Professor Clinical Health PsychologistBrody School of Medicine, East Carolina University Greenville, NC(posted 8/12/2009) The Department of Psychiatric Medicine at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is now recruiting a full-time doctoral level clinical/health psychologist at the Assistant Professor level. The primary responsibilities will be providing pre-surgical screening and pre- and post-surgical interventions for bariatric surgery candidates, and developing a research program related to this population. It is hoped that external research funding support can be developed. Faculty filling this position will also assist in clinical teaching and supervision of psychiatric residents and health psychology interns. This position will be housed within a growing, multi-disciplinary, collegial department. Requirements include a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology; satisfactory completion of an APA approved clinical health psychology internship, and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina. Greenville is the hub of Eastern, NC and the home of East Carolina University, the fastest growing public university in the state, with 28,000 students. Located near many recreational areas, including Atlantic Ocean coastal resorts, Greenville is a university town, rich in cultural activities with charm and an easy pace of life.
