The Greater Rochester Health Foundation (GRHF) is seeking an energetic individual with strong critical and strategic thinking skills, as well as group leadership experience to fill a senior program officer role in the Foundation’s signature program: the Childhood Healthy Weight Initiative. Reporting to the VP and Chief Program Officer, the Senior Program Officer of the Child Healthy Weight Initiative will play an integral role in the achievement of the Foundation’s bold, 10-year strategic plan for the prevention of childhood overweight and obesity. The Foundation has made a long-term commitment to serve as a catalyst for change in reversing the growing trend of overweight and obesity among children, youth and families in Monroe County.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess exceptional critical and strategic thinking skills enabling him/her to envision as well as evaluate communitywide interventions, and make sound funding recommendations that further the Foundation’s aims. He/she will also have well-honed interpersonal communication skills and the leadership ability to bring together diverse groups under a common vision and mobilize communitywide efforts towards a common purpose.
