With the rapidly increasing pace of obesity research, this year’s program features Late-Breaking Abstracts that present new and high-impact research, for which results were not available at the standard abstract deadline. A new subtrack, Late-Breaking Clinical Trials, was also added. Abstracts submitted in this category represent new breakthroughs in clinical science that are likely to have a significant impact on clinical practice. The results of single or multicenter trials of diet or exercise interventions, or other novel treatments, were considered in this category.
