Dr. Richard Bergman is an internationally known expert in obesity and diabetes research. He holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Case-Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh. Professor Bergman has contributed important research for over 30 years, and has published over 350 articles. Dr. Bergman is Editor-in-Chief of the research journal Obesity. Dr. Bergman has won numerous honors for his work, including the "Outstanding Diabetes Investigator (Lilly Award)" from the American Diabetes Association, and the "TOPS" award from the Obesity Society (NAASO).
