Who Should Attend?

The session topics and presentations selected by the members of the Annual Scientific Meeting Program Committee are intended to meet the needs of researchers and healthcare professionals who want to be updated on advances in the prevention, treatment, causes, and health consequences of obesity. This includes basic and clinical research scientists, physicians (general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinology, surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry), dietitians, psychologists, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation/exercise therapists, physical/occupational therapists, clinicians, nutritionists, trainees, students, social workers, policy makers and administrators with an interest in adult and childhood obesity and other allied health professionals.

 Abstract Submission Site Extended: New Deadline 12:00 p.m. ET, June 6

Submit your latest research in obesity science, prevention and treatment to TOS's Annual Meeting at ObesityWeek 2014, Nov. 2-7, in Boston, MA. TOS began accepting abstracts for posters and presentations on May 1, 2014 and the site will remain open through 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET on Friday, June 6. Submit your abstracts to the following tracks:

  • Metabolism and Integrative Physiology
  • Neuroscience
  • Intervention and Clinical Studies
  • Population Health
  • Policy

Submit Papers Today For The Obesity Journal Symposium!

Present at the Obesity Journal Symposium at ObesityWeek 2014

Submit your full manuscript to be considered for BOTH the 2nd Annual Obesity Symposium and as an abstract to be presented at ObesityWeek 2014. If you are chosen to be included in the Obesity Symposium and November issue of the journal, you will have the opportunity to present to your peers as one of the journal's top papers! The deadline for online manuscript submission for this session is June 1, 2014. Find submission instructions and evaluation criteria here and submit your paper here.

If your study is chosen for the Obesity Symposium, your abstract will be withdrawn from ObesityWeek. However, if it is not chosen for the Symposium it will still be reviewed for poster and presentation at ObesityWeek AND considered for publication in the journal.




TOS abstract submission is now closed. Late-breaking abstract submissions will be accepted beginning August 15 and will close September 1, 2014 at 5:00pm ET. To be accepted the abstract must describe new and high impact research for data which were not available at the original abstract deadline in June 2014. Claim Your ObesityWeek 2013 CME Credit

Did you participate in CME at ObesityWeek? Don’t forget to log onto the CME website to claim your credit. Here’s how:

1. Logon to the site here.

2. Enter Username and Password.

  • Username = FirstName+LastName (no spaces)
  • Password = the email address that you used for your ObesityWeek registration

3. Fill out the evaluations by selecting "evaluate" next to the activity you attended. After completing the evaluation, a check mark will indicate that it has been completed.

4. Enter your credits by filling in the box that appears once you have completed the evaluation.

5. Access your certificate by selecting the "my certificates" tab or log out and return to the site at a later date.
