The Canadian Obesity Network invites you to attend the 3rd Canadian Obesity Summit, in Vancouver, BC, May 1-4, Canada's only interdisciplinary conference on obesity. The Canadian Obesity Network is dedicated to the prevention and management of obesity and the 3rd Canadian Obesity Summit will focus on improving health systems and services, developing evidence-based policies to prevent obesity and clinical approaches for the management of obesity and its multiple co-morbidities. For more information please click here.


Immunology 2013

May 3-7, Honolulu, Hawaii

Immunometabolism is arguably one of the most exciting new directions in obesity and type 2 diabetes research. In an effort to better understand the roles of immune cells and immune-mediated inflammation in obesity and type 2 diabetes, TOS representatives will participate in the Guest Society Symposia at IMMUNOLOGY 2013 in Honolulu, May 3-7, 2013. TOS members, Gerald Denis, Ph.D., and Barbara Nikolajczyk, Ph.D., will present a symposium on Immunometabolism: The Role of the Immune System in Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes.

 

Primary Care Congress for Cardiometabolic Health

April 23-25, 2013, Boston, Mass.

This Congress, presented by Joslin Diabetes Center and Harvard Medical School, is open to those interested in improving their knowledge, skills, clinical care, and outcomes at the primary care level. The program will examine the components of cardiometabolic syndrome, its related clinical conditions, and approaches to control these conditions. It will include discussions of cutting-edge basic and clinical science that build upon the latest data and evidence-based clinical care recommendations, and emphasize practical applications through the discussion of care parameters and actual cases. International Congress on Obesity 2014

March 17 – 20, 2014, Malaysia

The International Congress on Obesity (ICO) will be jointly hosted by the International Association for the Study of Obesity (IASO) and the Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity (MASO) in Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, March 17-20, 2014. The program offers eight tracks presented by more than 70 of the world’s top obesity experts. Registration will open in the coming months via the IASO website.
