Visa Information for International Attendees—

Researchers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals from around the world are invited to attend Obesity 2011, the 29th Annual Scientific Meeting of The Obesity Society. Foreign nationals from certain countries must obtain a temporary travel visa (B-1) in order to attend this meeting. A letter of invitation for international delegates and an information sheet on obtaining a US visa are available. A copy of the letter of invitation, along with copies of meeting registration and hotel reservation confirmations, will help to speed up the visa application and approval process.


Note: Visa applicants are advised to apply as soon as they decide to travel to the United States. Depending on the country of origin, it may take 3 to 4 months to process visa applications.
