The city of Groningen is the home of the second oldest University in the Netherlands, founded in 1614. The university is home to one of the European largest centers for the integrative study of behavioral neurobiology ( CBN ), with a wide array of research groups that study behavior from its ecology and evolution to molecular neurobiology, and largest Dutch graduate schools Behavioral and Cognitive Neurosciences ( BCN ).
