April 17, 2013

Dear Colleagues,

I’m pleased to announce that Obesity Week 2013 registration and housing are now officially open! After five years in the making, we’ve successfully combined our resources with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) to offer you the preeminent annual conference for obesity science and healthcare professionals.

By now you’re well aware that ASMBS and TOS are co-locating our respective annual meetings under one roof for the most comprehensive agenda in obesity research, treatment and prevention. We’re excited to offer you this groundbreaking event created to have a larger impact on the field of obesity.

In November (11-16), we will have double the programing and number of attendees; a larger number of exhibitors and higher level of corporate engagement; and – most importantly – more impact of the science presented by our members through enhanced media and public attention.

In keeping with its commitment to establish top-notch scientific content for the annual meeting, the TOS Programming Committee has developed yet another exceptional program, with a similar structure to past annual conferences. I’d like to thank the Programming Committee Chair, Alison Field, ScD, FTOS, and Co-Chair, Timothy Moran, PhD, FTOS, for their great work to bring you excellent presentations from leading researchers, and opportunities to learn and discuss groundbreaking advancements in obesity.

I hope you’ll see that we’ve worked closely with ASMBS to provide you with more value. This year, your registration fee allows you to attend both TOS and ASMBS annual meeting programs, high-profile joint sessions, including two Keynote Speakers, free daily lunches and variety of free social and networking events. Find out all about the programs and events happening at Obesity Week 2013 here.

We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta, Georgia, November 11-16!
