The Obesity Society created the Ambassador Program to allow us to stay connected with the broader professional community, remain aware of nascent opportunities, and establish lines of communication to drive us all forward. A member of TOS leadership is appointed to coordinate with each of these organizations to maximize its external interactions with a more proactive stance. This is an approach that allows TOS to make healthy choices that fulfill the promise of collaboration while protecting the Society's core values and brand.
Beyond the Ambassador Program, The Obesity Society is pleased to partner with other non-profit organizations working toward the same goal – to advance the research, treatment and prevention of obesity. We offer multiple opportunities for collaboration including:
- Cross-marketing efforts
- Information sharing
- Meeting collaborations
- Advocacy efforts
- Speaking engagements
- Educational programs

The Obesity Society (TOS) Corporate Engagement Groups
Through our corporate engagement groups made up of industry partners, we work to co-develop projects designed to further TOS's mission to improve the lives of those affected by obesity. Currently, TOS has two such groups: the Corporate Healthcare Advisory Council (CHAC), previously the Corporate Advisory Committee (CAC), and our Food Industry Engagement Council (FIEC). These groups convene regularly to identify goals in keeping with TOS's core mission and to develop initiatives around those goals. A most recent example is the Treat Obesity Seriously campaign designed to educate healthcare providers about obesity and evidence-based treatment.
If your organization would like to partner with TOS on either the CHAC or the FIEC, please contact our communications department at email@example.com.
