Governance Nominations

Help Shape the Future of The Obesity Society

The Obesity Society (TOS) invites nominations for leadership positions on the Governing Board and Nominations Board. These roles are elected annually by active members and help guide the Society’s strategy, programs, and priorities.

We encourage nominations that reflect diverse expertise, perspectives, and backgrounds.

Nominations Process

Nominations may be submitted in three ways:

  • By a colleague
  • By self-nomination
  • By the TOS Nominations Board

All candidates are reviewed by the Nominations Board, which recommends a final slate to the Executive Committee. Submission does not guarantee placement on the ballot.

Candidates Evaluation

Candidates are considered based on:

  • Qualifications and overall support
  • Past involvement with TOS
  • Alignment with the Society’s strategic priorities

The Board also works to ensure a balanced and diverse slate of candidates.
