TOS Sections provide a professional home within the Society for members based on their roles and primary areas of interest. By joining a Section, you can connect with colleagues who share your passion, expand your professional network, and engage more deeply with the TOS community.

Each Section is led by elected leaders who play an important role in the Society’s operations and governance, helping advance the field of obesity through collaboration and expertise.

Nomination Requirements

(Nomination does not guarantee ballot placement.)

  1. The nominee must be a member of TOS and a member of the Section for which they are being nominated.
  2. Submission of the nominee’s CV.
  3. A brief biography (500 words or fewer).

Submission Deadline

Submit all nominations and supporting documents by Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Review Process

Section leadership will review all nominations and recommend two candidates. The Nominations Board and Executive Committee will then review and approve the final ballot. Section Elections will take place next month, in October.
